Packing for a travel abroad does not have to be a headache, although today’s air regulations make it seem like a daunting task. Most airlines only allow one piece of free baggage and one carry-on baggage. Yes, I said one. If you feel tempted to pay the extra fee for more bags, do not do it!

Many women have an innate desire to pack everything in sight just in case. Of course, some of these moments ‘just in case’ may include a bad hair day, in which case, a lot of hair products and styling tools are necessary. But when you are faced with strict individual air regulations, you must ignore the desire to over pack especially when they are going abroad for a year.

We can promise you one thing: two suitcases are enough. You are probably shaking your head at this moment. How could I think that any woman could pack for a whole year with only two suitcases? Well, trust us because with the due anticipation and separation of things that are not essential, you can pack lightly and avoid stress.

WHAT TO BRING IN THE HAND OR BACKPACK BAGGAGE?

  • Medicine: In addition to the recipes, take with you DayQuil , Benadryl , Pepto-Bismol , and any other over-the-counter medication that you think you may need. Be realistic. When you have a cold or suffer from allergies (as most travelers do the first weeks abroad), you must take the medicine to which your system is already accustomed.
  • Computer: The Internet will be your best friend. We will need to stay connected with family and friends, watch your favorite shows, and so on. When you feel a bit of nostalgia, your lap top will help you.
  • Book: You’ll have to spend a lot of time at airports and on the plane. A pack of books will help you take the time to read.
  • Change of clothes: You know, just in case.
